Demos
I've come to accept that I'll never be prolific at recording full songs, but I figured that shouldn't stop me from sharing the many short demos I record here and there.

A tribute to DOOM…

A very old idea (probably 2019 or 2021) where the trick is splitting sixteen 16th notes into five groups of three and one unexpected group of two. Not my best drumming but still fun!

Another small idea from the same session.

Spent a good four hours setting up microphones and levels to record these two minutes of vamp- still not in love with how it sounds (especially that hi hat) but at least it sounds a little more natural than usual and could probably be mixed better. I also learned just how hard it is for me to play to a metronome…

This idea came out of a jam session with my friend Matt!

Maybe my favorite drum break I’ve come up with.

Sweet little something…
- Aug 31, 2026Millipedes 0:00 / -:--
Very loosely inspired by Gymnopédies, but it’s kinda ugly, hence “Millipedes”. I originally recorded this idea in August 2024, but only recently found it again in my voice memos and tried fleshing it out.

Really happy with the melody on this one.

Stole the idea of open hi-hats on every beat from Surprise Chef’s song “Plumb Tucker”.

Based on an old voice memo from November 2025. I’m a huge 4/4 fan so it kind of surprised me that there was a 5/4 measure in the melody I needed to work with. I also took some inspiration from Grizzly Bear’s “Foreground”, hence the name.
